I was one of a group of 17 girlfriends who spent a week with Luca exploring the beautiful region of Puglia.  Aside from creating a great itinerary that included, among other things, bike riding, boating, olive oil tasting, and of course lots of great food, Luca was more than just a tour guide (we even got to meet his mom!).  He fit right in with our crew and laughed as much as we did.  He made the trip for all of us extra special.  I highly recommend Luca, not only to see Puglia from a truly local perspective, but to enjoy a unique and fun one-of-a-kind travel experience.

How do you experience Italy gluten-free and not feel like you're missing out? Luca as your guide with Puglia With Locals! We were a group of 17 women in Puglia for 7 days, with many requests and restrictions, and Luca juggled us all like a complete professional. He immersed us in his home region with experiences not to be missed, full of hidden treasures only a true local would know of. Everything from bicycling along an ancient Roman aqueduct, to a boat ride along the beautiful coast, to walking tours, an olive oil tasting, the most gorgeous multi-generational farm experience with long lunch, and so much more. We stayed in the most beautiful, charming accommodations in trulli, ate gorgeous food, LAUGHED a lot, and formed what is sure to be a lifelong friendship with Luca - many of us are already making plans to return to Puglia with our husbands and roam the region with Luca again. There is nothing like experiencing a new place with someone who knows and loves it, and loves sharing its splendor with others. He would not want any of his guests to miss out on all the region has to offer, and made sure my gluten-free experience did not disappoint in any way. Thank you SO MUCH Luca! From the very first zoom call we had with Luca we knew we had done the right thing.  We were a family of six adults traveling in Puglia and we were with Luca for 11 days.  He took us to so many places we would never have found, had a great van to travel in and is so flexible and willing to change things if needed.  At the end of the trip I felt like I had an adopted Italian son! He became part of the family ….He’s the best and I would highly recommend him to anyone going to Puglia who wants a truly local experience.

We have just returned from spending 2 weeks in Puglia with Luca from Puglia with locals. We were looking to explore authentic aspects of Italy with our family, which included 3 teenagers and a mobile 81 year old. We spent lots of time with Luca briefing him on our requirements. Luca fulfilled the brief by organising an itinerary we will never forget. It included great hotel recommendations in some excellent towns: Monopoly, Locorotondo and Maritima Marina (in the Castro area). He also arranged hotels for us in other parts of our trip. We finished up doing so many amazing and authentic activities. He showed us the best of his home region. So many highlight's: laughs, beach clubs, boat tours, private Masseria lunches, World Heritage town visits, bread making, olive farm, pottery factory, e-bike tour, sea cave visits,  gelatos and authentic regional food. He even played Padel with our kids! A private lunch with two sisters who run a working farm was a real highlight. Other guides don’t have access to these types of  options. Apart from the organised activities, Luca was very flexible with plans, navigating us away from hot parts of each day and accomodating with changes to the planned itinerary. His English (+ Spanish) is also excellent. In areas where he wasn’t an expert (Matera World heritage site) he also arranged local expert tours. Luca is such a great guy. He became part of our family for 2 weeks and there was a lot of tears when we had to part. I couldn’t recommend Luca highly enough, for anyone planning to visit this amazing and underrated part of Italy. Damian McCarthy

As we were searching for a small group tour of the Puglia area, none of them were exactly what we were looking for or wanted.  Then we came upon “Puglia with Locals”.   We reached out to Luca and communicated what we would like to see and experience.  He put together a perfect itinerary for what we wanted, and he came in lower or close to the small group pricing.  His communication before the trip was very good, replying quickly and answering all our questions. We experienced everything we wanted and more on the 7 days we were with Luca.  He took care of every detail, and they all were perfect.  The accommodations he booked for us were excellent and unique.  The food tasted and tours taken were so good and informative.
